Library Services
Virtual Librarian
Agora University has an online Virtual Librarian available to students during the following hours:
Librarian Service Hours
Monday – Friday (6AM EST to 12AM EST)
Saturday – Sunday (10AM EST to 12AM EST)
All students will have access to Electronic Databases including ATLA Religion and Periodicals, ProQuest, Cengage and other digital resources.
All our students will have access to our online platform LMS (https://agora.populiweb.com/). The programs we are offering are mainly based on regular Internet access to the LMS, and this will require both a basic competence in skills related to Internet use and easy access to suitable computer. Each module has a designated website granting immediate access to vital information, electronic resources of various sorts, and providing a site for regular on-line tutorials.
LIRN is a 3rd party Library and Librarian Solution whom Agora University partners with to provide comprehensive library resources and librarians to ensure that all faculty and staff are knowledgeable about library resources. LIRN has numerous online resources from a wide variety of vendors (inclusive of databases containing articles from periodicals [peer reviewed, academic and trade], eBook collections, video collections, or interactive applications. Agora University has selected resources relevant to specific areas of study at our institution. All of LIRNs resources are intended for use in higher education to promote academic study, research and growth, including all areas of General Education. Agora University is supported by a team of LIRN Librarians who have earned a Masters degree in Library Science (MLS), Librarianship, or Library and Information Studies (MLIS) from a program accredited by the American Library Association (ALA). LIRN’s librarians are not faculty and/or staff of the subscriber institution. LIRN Librarians provide library support for 118 hours of support each week.
