On Friday, October 13, 2023, Agora University celebrated the opening of its new headquarters building in Burke, VA. The ceremony was attended by the University’s Chancellor, the President, the Dean, members of the Governing Board, the Advisory Board, faculty and staff.
Several distinguished dignitaries and leaders representing national and international political, religious, and business organizations, reflecting Agora University’s global impact, were also present for this special occasion including:
- A special letter by the Honorable Glenn Youngkin, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- His Excellency Ambassador Motaz Zahran, Ambassador of Egypt to the United States and his wife.
- His Excellency Consul Ahmed Nassar, Consul General of Egypt in Washington DC.
- His Eminence Mor John Kawak, Archbishop of the Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch in North America.
- His Eminence MorTitus Yeldho, Archbishop of the Malankara Syrian Orthodox Church in North America.
- His Grace Bishop Angelos of Northern Shoubra representing His Holiness Pope Tawadros II.
- Rev. Dr. Mebratu Gebru representing His Eminence Archbishop Petros of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church Archdiocese of New York.
- Dr. Ani Shahinian representing His Grace Mesrop Parsamyan, Primate of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America.
The new office building, located in the heart of Burke, VA, is equipped with the University’s administrative offices, a library, a lecture hall, and a bookstore.
